Fair ratings, great racing
RacerCruiser.org is the landing page for boats who want to race what they sail.  Have a bimini on your cruising boat?  No problem. Want to bring the family on an enjoyable point to point race, to a fun destination? That's why a dedicated team of racing stalwarts created the Racer Cruiser classes in various regions of the country.
We'll keep you informed on upcoming races and events, and provide links to regional and national events.

The 2019 ORR-Ez Mid-Atlantic Championship will be wrapping up in the next two months.  This series is open to any boat with an ORR-Ez certificate no matter
which fleet they race in, CRCA, PHRF, OD or ORC. As long as the cert is valid for 2019, you'll be scored (see standings below, as of August 20, 2019).

RacerCruiser.org encourages fleets and Organizing Authorities to use a VPP handicap scoring option such as ORR-Ez, to give cruising boats a more robust analysis of their boats and a better chance of competing against similar vessels, rather than stripped out strictly racers.

We also offer an option where new racers can give it a go with an Assigned Rating Class handicap, offered for free for the fist couple of races.  Figure out that you rather not race?  No cost, no worries!

Handicap racing options:
ORR-Ez and ARC.

ORR-Ez as a rating option:
The Chesapeake Racer Cruiser Association was looking for a rating rule that could best represent the needs of a fleet of heavier boats that have full interiors and cruising ammentities below. We've found ORR-Ez to be the best, low-cost scoring option available and encourage folks in racer cruiser fleets to consider applying for an ORR-Ez certificate.
